Canada’s population: 41.8 million on July 1, 2026
Statistics Canada released its quarterly estimates on September 23. Canada had 41,798,407 residents on July 1, 2026; the estimated second-quarter immigrant flow was 99,148.
These are preliminary demographic estimates, not 2026 Census results or immigration quotas.
