What you receive

Check the requirements before ordering

The required translation package depends on your application and the receiving authority. Please send us the relevant document checklist or a link to your application instructions along with your certificate.

Global Lingo Canada does not provide translations by Canadian certified translators and does not claim that status. We confirm whether the affidavit route is appropriate before accepting an order.

A translation does not guarantee approval of an immigration application.

What to send

Keep all four corners visible. Avoid glare, shadows and cropped stamps. You do not need to send the physical original for an initial quote.

Before you send your birth certificate

How can I check that my photo is readable?

Place the document on a flat surface in even light. Photograph each page straight on, then zoom in on the smallest text, registration numbers and stamps. If you cannot read them in the image, send a sharper photo. Keep pages in order and send the original image files rather than a screenshot of a messenger preview.

What if names are spelled differently?

Tell us about different spellings before translation begins. Provide the passport spelling for the people named in the document where available. We translate the information in the source document; we do not change the original record or silently remove discrepancies. If a name has changed, tell us whether a supporting document is included in your package.

Can I send several family certificates together?

Yes. Label the files by person and document, and include all pages for each certificate. This helps us identify which files belong together and use consistent name spellings throughout the package. We confirm the price for each document before starting.

What if I already have a translation?

Send the source document and the existing translation together, along with the receiving authority’s instructions. We will review the request before confirming whether we can help. We do not promise to notarize another translator’s work without reviewing it.

What should I check when I receive the PDF?

Check names, dates, document numbers and that all ordered documents are present. If you notice a discrepancy, send us the relevant page and explain it. Keep the source scan and the final translation together for your own records.
